Fans of more realistic tennis experiences will be able to get their fix on Wii in just a few more days, as the virtual renderings of real world stars of the court like Roger Federer and Maria Sharapova will stand in stark contrast to the cartoon mascots of SEGA Superstars Tennis and whichever random Mii you prefer to use in Wii Sports. Top Spin 3 marks the first time the 2K Sports franchise will come to a Nintendo home console, after having originally debuted on the first Xbox half a decade ago.
The game will come complete with recreated real world venues from around the globe to compliment its cast of champions, and will further set itself apart from the existing tennis competition on Wii by offering a unique style of racket control – the Wii Remote will be held rotated in your hand, such that the D-Pad and buttons point toward your television screen and your index finger rests on the B Trigger on the back.
